A driftwood creation

Activated by a see-saw system reserved for the parents, the merry-go-round is composed of symbolic Alpine animals living above 1500 metres altitude: A wolf, a ‘dahu’ (magical Alpine creature), a marmot, an ibex, a fox, a Yeti, a royal eagle and an elephant!!!

It comes into life thanks to an actor/musician that brings us into his universe with each turn of the wheel.

An environmentally friendly "merry-go-round theatre"

Driftwood (the main constituent of the merry-go-round) is wood that has been rejected by the nature. Washed along Alpine torrents and then on to the river (Le Rhone), it eventually ends up on the shores of Lake Léman, after having been polished by its long journey in the water.

As the driving force behind the merry-go-round is of human energy only, there is no other fuel needed than of our own muscles! The parental see-saw ensures that the whole family gets to contribute. Even the 6-month old baby can find his place, snuggled up inside the large, reassuring foot of the Yeti…
